Refillable Pencil
Anyone here know about multi-functional pens?
K, to start with, I have a mess with my writing instruments. I am currently studying engineering and to draw in such a cramped space in my class is awful!! I am looking for a pen that has at least pen (black) , pencil and marker and that are easily to refill!! (Not like some German great looking pencils I found, only refillable buying from them… thats not really what I want). I did find some weird pencils after hours of search, but I also need my pencil to be a bit slim and stylish. And another thing, I draw using the rulers A LOT!! So, I need the writing end of the pen to be kinda pointy, if not… the pencils going to make me draw lines without accuracy, even with the ruler I’d draw lines 4mm away from the ruler since the darn writing end on most multi-function pencils are so huge and round.
Any multi-function pen selling website or pen you’ve had and wanna share with me your experience with it?
This may not be what you are looking for but I do a lot of precise drawing and use off-the-rack mechanical pencils with 5mm HB lead. There are lots of brands and I currently like the Pentel brand, but I have used several. They aren’t expensive, are trim and easy to use, the lead can be found in several hardnesses and they are good for regular old writing too!
I used to have a really fine ink pen but they have stopped making them, so now I use a waterproof, fadeproof, archival ink pen from SAKURA called pigmaMICRON. the finest line width I have is .20 mm. Great pens.
I also found one similar from a company called EK Success, Ltd. The Pen is called MILLENNIUM from Zig Memory Systems. I don’t know what all of that means, but the pens are good. My current one has a line width of .45 mm.
These two pens are much nicer than the refillable, multi-tip pens for several reasons. They don’t clog, skip, blob or require anything except their cap when not in use. The lines are clean and uniform, the ink doesn’t run or flake and the price is so affordable that you will have enough left over for dinner!
